Sekundarni povzetek: Computer age in which we live in has pushed people into massive use of computer technologies. These technologies are not used only for entertainment purposes but serve as excellent tools in different areas such as entrepreneurship, health care, science, administration and schools, which are the subject of research in the present thesis. Teachers in schools are increasingly using technologies, which they integrate with the learning process. Learning material is passed by teachers onto pupils, which is supported with technologies in a transparent manner. The e-competent use of information and communication technologies (ICT) helps teachers facilitate lessons and transfer technology related knowledge onto pupils. E-competent teacher: understands and critically uses technologies in the educational process, teaching and administrative work and in teaching assignments; her or she effectively communicates remotely with all participants in the teaching process; effectively searches for, collects, processes and evaluates (critically assesses) data, information and concepts; he or she is conscious of safe use and compliance with legal and ethical principles of using and publishing information, and is open for self-assessment and continuing professional development and collaboration with community of teachers. One of the leading institutions in charge of education intended services is certainly Arnes. In addition to taking care for the infrastructure of connectivity of schools into network, it also offers many services to facilitate the work of the educational process. The main purpose of our diploma thesis was to explore how well the teachers are familiar with e-competences, to what extent and in what way they apply ICT in the teaching process, and to assess if they are familiar with the role of the Arnes institution, which offers networks services for schools.

Povzetek (ePrints): Računalniška doba, v kateri živimo, je ljudi potisnila v množično uporabo računalniških tehnologij. Te tehnologije pa se ne uporabljajo zgolj za zabavne namene, ampak služijo kot odlični pripomočki na različnih področjih, kot so podjetništvo, zdravstvo, znanost, uprava in šolstvo, kar je predmet raziskovanja v pričujoči nalogi. Učitelji v šolah vedno bolj uporabljajo tehnologije, ki jih integrirajo z učnim procesom. Učno snov učencem prenesejo podprto s tehnologijami na transparenten način. Z e-kompetentno uporabo informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologij (IKT) si učitelji olajšajo pouk ter znanje v zvezi s tehnologijami prenašajo na učence. E-kompetentni učitelj: pozna in kritično uporablja tehnologije v izobraževalnem procesu, pedagoško-administrativnem delu in pedagoškem delu; učinkovito komunicira na daljavo z vsemi sodelujočimi v procesu izobraževanja; učinkovito išče, zbira, obdeluje in vrednoti (kritično presoja) podatke, informacije in koncepte; ozaveščen je za varno rabo in upoštevanje pravnih in etičnih načel uporabe in objave informacij, ter je odprt za samoocenjevanje in nadaljnji strokovni razvoj in sodelovanje s skupnostjo učiteljev. Eden vodilnih zavodov, ki skrbi za storitve, namenjene izobraževanju, je zagotovo Arnes. Poleg tega, da skrbi za infrastrukturo povezanosti šol v omrežje, nudi še veliko storitev za lažje delo v izobraževalnem procesu. Glavni namen diplomske naloge je raziskati, kako dobro so učitelji seznanjeni z e-kompetencami, v kakšni meri in na kakšen način pri izobraževanju uporabljajo IKT, ter oceniti, če poznajo vlogo javnega zavoda Arnes, ki šolam ponuja omrežne storitve.
