Sekundarni povzetek:	In my diploma thesis I am presenting old farm chores of the six branches of farm work: agriculture, livestock, fruit cultivation, horticulture, viticulture, forestry. I have listed and described tools, machinery and equipment that were once used to perform farm chores. There is also presented a brief history of agriculture and the development of plows. Didactic part contains four lesson preparations, one for every grade from 1st to 5th grade of nine-year primary school. The teaching content and learning objectives, which were taken from the curriculum, differ from one another according to the grade. The purpose of this study was to determine pupils knowledge about farm work, tools and machinery on the farm in the past and present, for each grade. The study involved 44 pupils prom 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade of nine-year primary school Birčna vas.The diploma thesis also includes an interview with older women from two villages in Dolenjska.

Povzetek (ePrints):	V diplomskem delu so predstavljena stara kmečka opravila šestih vej kmetijstva, in sicer poljedelstvo, živinoreja, sadjarstvo, vrtnarstvo, vinogradništvo in gozdarstvo, ter orodja in naprave, ki so jih nekoč uporabljali za opravljanje teh kmečkih opravil. Predstavljena je tudi kratka zgodovina kmetijstva ter razvoj rala in pluga. Didaktični del vsebuje štiri učne priprave, eno za vsak razred od 1. do 4. razreda devetletne osnovne šole. Uporabljene učne vsebine oziroma učni cilji, ki so bili vzeti iz učnega načrta, so bili različni glede na razred. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti znanje učencev o kmečkih opravilih, orodjih in strojih na kmetiji nekoč in danes za vsak razred posebej. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 44 učencev 1., 2., 3. in 4. razreda devetletne podružnice, Osnovne šole Birčna vas. Diplomska naloga vsebuje tudi intervju s starejšima krajankama iz dveh vasi na Dolenjskem: Gorenje Lakovnice in Jurna vas.
