Light in school space |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In schools, natural daylight has to be primary source of light, aided by artificial lightning when daylight is not adequate. This is important, since we spend up to 90 % of our time in closed spaces.
With natural daylight, one is often subconsciously aware of changes and movements throughout the day. When a natural light source changes its direction, light reflects differently off every surface and every individual in a room. Interior space becomes alive and is directly connected to nature and to natural daily changes.
Natural daylight is an important element of creative environment, it has a pleasant effect on learning process and is environmentally friendly. With the use of artificial lightning we attempt to come as close as possible to natural light. We associate light with work, learning, life and playing. A bad interior design can be an obstacle in raising standards of education above certain level.
In empirical part of my thesis I tried to find answers to these premises by comparing four different schools: three foreign schools with one Slovenian school. Each of the schools found its solutions to show its identity through architecture. With the help of photographies I tried to put myself into each room in a school and thus answer my questions. I searched for and found practical experience and advice on how to improve learning environment. I learned which are the differences in the level of sunlight in rooms if windows have different orientation, as well as the basic principles of the different sides of the sky. I identified some practical solutions for a good artificial lightning in a school in order to prevent the occurence of and to control the disturbing factors. I researched the meaning of colors in school, and how colors, light and texture combine in each school. |

Povzetek (ePrints): |
Naravna dnevna svetloba mora biti vedno glavni vir razsvetljave v šolah, dopolnjena z umetno osvetlitvijo, ko dnevna svetloba zbledi, saj preživimo do 90 % svojega časa v zaprtih prostorih.
Poiskala sem praktične izkušnje in nasvete, kako izboljšati učno okolje. |
