Sekundarni naslov: Relationships in emerging adulthood
Sekundarni povzetek: The life paths of young people from late teenage years to the late twenties have been subject to great changes in the last decades. These changes are most evident when it comes to events that used to stand for becoming an adult: finishing education, finding work, getting married or starting a serious relationship and becoming a parent. This paper focuses mainly on relationships of young people in emerging adulthood. It stands as a fact that people start perceiving relationships in a different way at this point in their lives. They no longer seek only fun, but rather wish to find a spouse, start a serious relationship and create their own family at about 30 years of age. However the trend shows that before they settle, they will experiment with different love partners in order to find what suits them best, what kind of a partner they want and also to learn about themselves. The empirical part is focused on people in emerging adulthood that have been in a serious relationship for a relatively long period of time. I concluded it is a common opinion that the immediate family of an individual affects the way they form their own relationship. I found contact points between young people and the ways they perceive serious relationships and then presented their plans for the future in terms of marriage and forming a family. I concluded that their plans are not much different to those of other individuals in emerging adulthood as presented by several other researchers.

Povzetek (ePrints): Spremembe v zadnjih nekaj desetletjih so dodobra spremenile življenjski potek mladih v obdobju od poznih najstniških let do pozne sredine oziroma konca dvajsetih let.
