Sekundarni povzetek: In the Graduation Thesis we carried out experimental tests and numerical analysis of brick masonry. We reviewed a variety of failure mechanisms of masonry piers, loaded with horizontal force and possible failure mechanisms of compression and diagonal tests. We described the procedure of assessing seismic resistance of existing masonry buildings in accordance with standard Eurocode 8. We listed the findings of various authors on how to determine a reference tensile strength with diagonal tests, as there is no standardized procedure to determine it. The first part of the practical part of the thesis covers experimental tests on masonry. We performed eighteen tests on brick masonry prisms. I.e., we performed five compression and thirteen diagonal tests. Of these thirteen, nine were subjected to three different levels of precompression. We wanted to know: The correlation between stress and deformation, the dependence between the levels of precompression and obtained reference tensile strength, difference between shear modulus acquired from compression tests and shear modulus acquired from diagonal tests and how the shear modulus changes during diagonal test. We were also interested in the failure mechanisms and how they are affected by the level of precompression. In general, larger compression force in the wall resulted in higher tensile strength and shear modulus. In the second part of the thesis, we performed numerical analysis of brick Renaissance manor Ravno polje with the program 3Muri. We stated the theoretical background of the program. With this program, we performed static and nonlinear seismic analysis of the mansion. Because we do not know exact material qualities in mansion we can only anticipate its behaviour. The used values are therefore taken from previous in-situ tests on a similar structure in Styrian region. In conclusion, we have observed differences in the behaviour of the structure considering various measures taken for reinforcing. The mansion does not meet the static requirements of EC6; however in seismic analysis, mansion corresponds to the requirements of EC8, despite many damaged walls.

Povzetek (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi smo izvedli eksperimentalne preiskave in numerično analizo opečnate zidovine. Pregledali smo različne mehanizme porušitev zidanih slopov pri vodoravni obtežbi in mehanizme porušitev možnih pri tlačni in diagonalni preiskavi. Opisali smo postopek preverjanja potresne odpornosti obstoječih zidanih stavb v skladu s standardom Evrokod 8. Navedli smo ugotovitve različnih avtorjev, kako določiti referenčno natezno trdnost pri diagonalnih preiskavah, saj ni standardiziranega postopka za določitev le te. Prvi del praktičnega dela diplomske naloge obsega eksperimentalne preiskave zidu. Izvedli smo osemnajst preizkusov na zidanih opečnih prizmah. In sicer smo izvedli pet tlačnih in trinajst diagonalnih preiskav, od teh trinajstih smo jih devet prednapeli na tri različne nivoje predkompresije. Zanimalo nas je: odvisnost med napetostjo in deformacijo, odvisnost med nivojem prednapetja in dobljeno referenčno natezno trdnostjo, razlike med strižnim modulom dobljenim iz tlačne preiskave in strižnim modulom iz diagonalnih preiskav, sprememba strižnega modula tekom diagonalne preiskave. Zanimali so nas tudi mehanizmi porušitve in kako na njih vpliva nivo prednapetja. V splošnem večja tlačna sila v zidu rezultira z večjo natezno trdnostjo in strižnim modulom. V drugem delu diplomske naloge smo izvedli numerično analizo opečnatega renesančnega dvorca Ravno polje s programom 3Muri. Navedli smo teoretično ozadje programa. S pomočjo programa smo izvedli statično in nelinearno seizmično analizo dvorca. Zaradi nepoznanih točnih materialnih lastnosti zidovine dvorca smo le te ocenili na osnovi in-situ preiskav narejenih na podobnih objektih na Štajerskem. Za konec smo z različnimi ukrepi analizirali razlike v obnašanju konstrukcije pri statični in seizmični obtežbi ob izvedbi različnih ojačitev konstrukcije. Dvorec statično ne ustreza zahtevam standarda EC6, pri seizmični analizi pa ustreza zahtevam EC8, kljub mnogim poškodbam zidovine.
