The thermal burden of the lower Sava River from the already existing infrastructure operating along its stream is increasing due to the new hydropower plants that are being built in the area. In the year 2003, an evaluation study based on different mathematical models was made concerning the influence of Trbovlje Thermoelectric Power Plant, Krško Nuclear Power Plant and the existing hydropower plants on river water temperature rise by the company IBE. In 2007, a continuous temperature monitoring in various river cross sections was started on the river stretch concerned, offering a possibility of checking the accuracy of the previously mentioned mathematical models. In this thesis, the acquired monitoring results were used for this purpose on two different mathematical models. The temperature analysis calculation was made by monitoring the water element. First, the flow element was followed at the Vrhovo, Boštanj and Blanca reservoirs by using the HOTCHAIN model; afterwards, further downstream temperature increase was calculated, all the way to Krško, by using the HOTRIVER model. The results at Hydro Power Plant Blanca and Nuclear Power Plant Krško were compared with the actual dynamics of the river temperature. The analysis was made for the critical temperature conditions of July 2010, and for average temperature conditions from April to September 2010. Based on comparison of the actual temperatures monitored in the river stretch concerned with the mathematical models' results, a critical analysis on the suitability of the used mathematical models for calculating the temperature balance of the river and the reservoirs was made. |

Spodnja Sava je toplotno precej obremenjena reka, predvsem zaradi obstoječih termoenergetskih objektov Termoelektrarne Trbovlje in Nuklearne elektrarne Krško. Toplotna obremenitev pa se zaradi gradnje verige hidroelektrarn še povečuje. Leta 2003 je bila s strani podjetja IBE opravljena študija, ki je z matematičnimi modeli ovrednotila vplive TE Trbolje, NE Krško ter predvidene verige hidroelektarrn na segrevanje vode. Kasneje, leta 2007, se je na odseku izgradnje verige vzpostavil kontinuirani monitoring rečnih temperatur v večih profilih. S pridobljenimi meritvami monitoringa je možna kontrola modelov, kar je bil tudi namen dipomske naloge. Analizo izračuna temperature smo opravili s spremljanjem vodnega elementa. Element toka smo najprej s programom HOTCHAIN spremljali skozi akumulacije Vrhovo, Boštanj ter Blanca in nato s programom HOTRIVER opazovali nadaljnje ogrevanje po strugi Save do Krškega. Pri HE Blanca in NEK smo rezultate primerjali z dejansko dinamiko rečne temperature. Analizirali smo kritično obdobje v juliju 2010 ter obdobja srednjih razmer vsakega meseca posebej v toplem delu leta 2010, to je od aprila do septembra. Na podlagi primerjave dejanskih meritev in rezultatov programa smo kritično presodili primernost obeh modelov za račun toplotne bilance reke in bazenov pretočnih hidroelektrarn v verigi. |
