Sekundarni povzetek:	This thesis presents a historical overview of concrete production technologies as well as the usage of cement and concrete in Slovenia in the period from 1980 till 1950. Overview is done on the basis of literature, available in various Slovenian libraries and on the basis of archival sources, found in the Slovenian national and regional archives. The focus of this thesis is on the presentation of the history of both still operating cement plants in Slovenia, on the presentation of old standards or regulations regarding the composition and properties of concrete and on the description of three distinctive buildings, construction of which was first or among the first in Slovenia based on reinforced concrete: Dragon bridge, Pollak factory (later factory ROG) and Urbanc house (today Galleria Emporium).

Povzetek (ePrints):	V nalogi je prikazan zgodovinski pregled tehnologije proizvodnje in uporabe cementa in betona v Sloveniji v obdobju 1890-1950. Pregled je narejen na podlagi dostopne literature, ki jo hranijo različne slovenske knjižnice in arhivskih gradiv nacionalnega in pokrajinskih arhivov. Poudarek je na predstavitvi zgodovine obeh še delujočih cementarn v Sloveniji, na pregledu določil starih standardov ali pravilnikov glede sestave in lastnosti betona, ter na opisu treh značilnih objektov, pri gradnji katerih je bil prvič ali med prvimi v Sloveniji uporabljan armirani beton: Zmajski most, Pollakova tovarna (tovarna Rog) in Urbančeva hiša (današnja Galerija Emporium).
