Sekundarni jezik: Angleški jezik
Sekundarni naslov: Exploitation of Slovene water resources
Sekundarni povzetek: The purpose of the master degree thesis was to determine how much of the surface water resources we already use and how frequently we use it. Furthermore we tried to ascertain the share of water abstractions with return and without return and assess the possibilities of further water resources exploitation. The analyses were made for units such as surface water bodies, river basins and river basin districts. To determine the share of already used surface water and to estimate further water exploitation we have to know some facts, like how water-rich is the country and of course the amount of water that is already being used. Therefore the first part of thesis presents the elements of water cycle such as: precipitation, evaporation, runoff and other hydromorphological characteristics of Slovenia. The second part contains assessed amount of already used surface water. In the last part we tried to estimate the amount of available water for further use, based on characteristic discharges, ecological acceptable discharges, empirical equations and discharge rating curves. Three different variant calculations were made for the evaluation of further water exploitation. After that we assessed the possibility of future surface water exploitation, based on the most adequate calculation among three different calculations. The results for different surface water exploitation types are described in the text and presented on maps and tables.

Povzetek (ePrints): Namen magistrskega dela je bil ugotoviti, koliko površinske vode se v Sloveniji že rabi, kako pogosta je raba površinskih voda, kakšni so deleži povratne in nepovratne vrste rabe površinskih voda in kakšne so možnosti za nadaljnjo rabo površinskih voda. Osnovne enote, za katere so računani podatki, so vodna telesa površinskih voda, porečja/povodja in vodni območji. Prvi in tretji termin prihajata v naš pravni red z Vodno direktivo (Water Framework Directive). V prvem delu dela so predstavljeni elementi vodnega kroga: padavine, evaporacija, odtok in druge hidromorfološke značilnosti Slovenije.
