Sekundarni jezik: Angleški jezik
Sekundarni naslov: Water flow velocities in torrents
Sekundarni povzetek: In steep streams, which are mostly torrential, usual equations for flat, low land rivers do not act well any more. We have complex behaviour of stream, because we have multistage stream flow. This means, that we have mixing of air bubbles, water and sediments. We can also often find significant amounts of instream wood. A large number of equations can be found for this kind of streams, but they are mostly applicable in a very narrow range. In my thesis, I firstly presented methods of measurements, used to get data, which we can apply to calculate equations and evaluate their results. Furthermore, I presented experiences with those equations from other researchers, the range of their applicability, what advantages and disadvantages are and if there is maybe an option of using the equation also outside the range of the original research.

Obstaja velika množica enačb za take tipe vodotokov, vendar so večinoma uporabne v zelo ozkem obsegu.
