Sekundarni povzetek: The thesis speaks about dangerous and potentially dangerous spots on national roads. It is based upon a database of 984 dangerous and potentially dangerous spots, which was created in cooperation with representatives of the majority of Slovenian municipalities. On the basis of this database and an analysis of the current situation a typization of problems repeatedly occurring on recorded locations and a typization of solutions, which would most probably solve the occurred problems, is created. At least one type of problem and at least one type of solution is attached to every location. By analyzing the combinations of determined types of problems and suggested types of solutions, typization of combinations of typical solutions for typical problems is made. Besides the study on the problematics of the dangerous and potentially dangerous spots the thesis also deals with ways for ranking recorded locations according to the number of traffic accidents, the type of injuries people involved suffered and traffic load. On the basis of these types of ranking a combined and unbiased ranking system SNPOP is suggested, by which accident rate, priority value and transportation work are taken into account. According to the SNPOP ranking, five locations were chosen among the most dangerous spots, for which suggestions for reconstruction are created on the design level. With the usage of these reconstruction suggestions an analysis of traffic safety is made to determine whether the reconstruction measures raise the traffic safety in comparison to existing road conditions.

Povzetek (ePrints): Diplomska naloga govori o nevarnih in potencialno nevarnih mestih na državnih cestah. Temelji na evidenci 984 nevarnih in potencialno nevarnih mest, ki je bila ustvarjena v sodelovanju s predstavniki večine slovenskih občin. Na osnovi te evidence in analize stanja je pripravljena tipizacija problemov, ki se na evidentiranih lokacijah ponavljajo, in tipizacija rešitev, ki bi najverjetneje te probleme učinkovito odpravile. Vsaki lokaciji je tako pripisan najmanj en tip problema in vsaj en tip rešitve. Z analiziranjem kombinacij ugotovljenih tipov problemov in predlaganih tipov rešitev je izdelana tipizacija kombinacij tipičnih rešitev za tipične probleme. Poleg obravnave problematike nevarnih in potencialno nevarnih mest so v diplomski nalogi preučeni še načini rangiranja evidentiranih lokacij glede na število prometnih nesreč, vrsto poškodb udeležencev v prometnih nesrečah in prometne obremenitve. Na osnovi tega preučevanja je predlagan kombiniran način rangiranja evidentiranih lokacij SNPOP, ki upošteva stopnjo nesreč, prioritetno oceno in prometno delo ter predstavlja objektiven in poenoten sistem za rangiranje vseh nevarnih in potencialno nevarnih lokacij. Izmed najbolj nevarnih mest glede na SNPOP način rangiranja je izbranih 5 lokacij, za katere so izdelani predlogi za rekonstrukcijo na ravni idejne zasnove. Za teh 5 lokacij so, na osnovi obstoječih stanj in predlaganih rekonstrukcij, izdelane varnostne analize, ki preučujejo ali predlagani ukrepi za rekonstrukcijo izboljšajo prometno varnost glede na obstoječe stanje.
