Sekundarni povzetek: In this dissertation I'm introducing a program ARosem, with witch a optimal range of a green wave can be determined. I’m comparing it with a calculation of linear programming with an Excel and with a program Synchro. I also describe in detail how the program operates. For the comparison between programs I choose two road systems; the main street through the town Šentjur, named Ulica Dušana Kvedra, wich is quite simple road system, because it only has three crossroads with semaphores, and the most burdened road through the city Celje, named Mariborska ulica, that continues in Aškerceva ulica. This road system has 14 crossroads with semaphores in the distance of 3130 meters. Because of its complexity and the needs of the program I have split the problem on three parts that I joint at an end. I optimized these two road systems with the program ARosem and compared results for the same system with results, given by linear programming with Excel and program Synchro. With the comparison of the results I have determined, that the program ARosem is more appropriate for resolving smaller systems of crossroads with semaphores, since resolving larger road systems would require additional program upgrade, like adding vehicle acceleration and deceleration times into the equation.

Povzetek (ePrints): V diplomskem delu predstavljam program ARosem za določanje območja zelenega vala in ga primerjam z računanjem z linearnim programiranjem z Excelom ter s programom Synchro. Podrobneje sem opisal način delovanja programa ter predstavil navodila programa. Za primerjavo med programi sem izbral dve cesti, in sicer glavno cesto skozi mesto Šentjur, to je Ulica Dušana Kvedra, ki je manj kompleksna, saj so na njej le tri semaforizirana križišča, ter najbolj obremenjeno cesto skozi mesto Celje, to je Mariborska cesta, ki se nadaljuje v Aškerčevo ulico. Na njej se nahaja 14 semaforiziranih križišč na razdalji 3130 m, zato sem jih zaradi kompleksnosti in potreb programa ARosem razdelil na tri odseke, ki sem jih nato združil. Te dve cesti sem optimiziral s programom ARosem, nato pa dobljene podatke primerjal z rezultati, ki sem jih dobil z linearnim programiranjem z Excelom in s programom Synchro za isti sistem semaforiziranih križišč. Pri primerjavi rezultatov sem ugotovil, da je program ARosem primeren za reševanje manjših sistemov semaforiziranih križišč, pri reševanju večjih sistemov pa bi moral program še nadgraditi, da bi upošteval tudi zamude vozil.
