Sekundarni povzetek: In my dissertation I made a summary of activity of waster treatment plants on range of Karst, which scopes of municipality Komen, Divača Sežana and Hrpelje-Kozina. I concentrated above all on activity of wast treatment plants, their efficiency and rescuing of problems with transmitting of waste mud. I summarized some basic legal decrees and regulations within the European Community as the Republic of Slovenia. Because of tighter conditions in the disposal of sludge, especially legal prohibition of sludge disposal in municipal landfills are prohibitng disposal of sludge in public utility dumps. Below I describe and analyze the techology of cleaning and dehydration of sludge in wastewater treatment plants. The research is part of a review of existing wastewater treatment plants in individual municipalities, hardware description for the purification of waste water and the results of the final product sewage sludge in how to do wastewater treatment. Becaus of sensitivity to the Karst groundwater I examinated the possibilities of using sludge to assess the suitability of great importance for the environment of Karst. By signing the Water Framework Directive, Slovenia has promised that by 2017, will be equipped with a sewage treatment plant settlements with more than 50 people. Following reviews of the number of settlements in the Karst I estimated the amount of future quantities of sludge and proposed permanent use of this, wich would make sense for us and our environment.

Povzetek (ePrints): V svoji diplomski nalogi sem izdelal povzetek delovanja čistilnih naprav na območju Krasa, katere obsega občine Komen, Divača, Sežana in Hrpelje-Kozina. Osredotočil sem se predvsem na delovanje čistilnih naprav, njihovo učinkovitostjo in reševanje problematike z oddajanjem odpadnega blata. Tako sem v diplomskem delu povzel nekaj osnovnih zakonskih uredb in pravil tako na območju Evropske skupnosti kot Republike Slovenije, kajti nove direktive prepovedujejo odlaganje odpadnega blata na komunalne deponije, kot je bilo to nedavnega še mogoče. V nadaljevanju sem opisal in preučil tehnologijo čiščenja in dehidracijo blata na čistilnih napravah. V raziskovalnem delu naloge sem preučil obstoječe čistilne naprave po posameznih občinah, opisal strojno opremo za potrebe prečiščevanja odpadne vode, ter analiziral rezultate končnega produkta, torej odpadnega blata pri čiščenju odpadnih voda. Ker gre na Krasu za občutljivi svet podzemnih vodonosnikov je pregled možnosti uporabe blata z oceno primernosti velikega pomena za okolje. Z podpisom vodne direktive se je Slovenija zaobljubila, da bo do leta 2017 opremila z čistilno napravo naselja z več kot 50 prebivalci. Po pregledu števila naselij na območju Krasa sem približno ocenil bodoče količine odpadnega blata ter predlagal trajno izkoriščanje le teh, kar bi bilo za nas in naše okolje najbolj smiselno.
