Sekundarni povzetek: The consequences of more and more frequent floods raise the question of how to act or prepare for flooding and how to reduce the consequential damage. In hydraulic engineering, hydraulic analysis performed by mathematical and physical models are being used for reducing flood danger. Physical models guarantee the highest accuracy in specifying hydraulic conditions but these models are rarely used in practice because of additional costs and are used only for the most demanding examples of hydraulic analysis. Mathematical models prevail in practice and have been used regularly as a result of computer development. In this assignment one-dimensional hydraulic model of the reach of river Meža near Ravne na Koroškem in current state, comparison of hydraulic conditions before and after applying flood-defense mechanisms and the analysis of influence of bridge sections on hydraulic circumstances. Model is performed by HEC-RAS, a hydraulic mathematical tool and for geometrical preparation ESRI ArcGIS with expansion HEC-GeoRAS has been used. This provides the preparation of a digital field model by means of LIDAR data and on this basis the preparation of field data about river channel geometry and flood surfaces. Results are presented through graphs that represent cross section conveyance at the specific reach of river Meža.

Povzetek (ePrints): Posledice vse pogostejših poplav odpirajo vprašanja na temo, kako ukrepati, oz. kako se pripraviti na poplavne dogodke in kako zmanjšati škodo zaradi le-teh. V hidravličnem inženirstvu za zmanjševanje poplavne nevarnosti in za napovedovanje obsega poplav opravljajo hidravlične analize, ki se izvajajo z matematični in fizičnimi modeli. Fizični modeli zagotavljajo največjo zanesljivost določanja hidravličnih razmer, vendar so v praksi ponavadi redki zaradi stroškov pri izgradnji in se uporabljajo le za najzahtevnejše primere hidravlične analize. V praksi prevladujejo matematični modeli, ki so z razvojem računalnikov vse bolj v uporabi. V nalogi je predstavljeno enodimenzionalno (1D) hidravlično modeliranje odseka reke Meže pri Ravnah na Koroškem obstoječega stanja, primerjava hidravličnih razmer pred in po izvedbi predvidenih protipoplavnih ukrepov ter analiza vplivov mostnih konstrukcij na hidravlične razmere. Model je izdelan s hidravličnim matematičnim orodjem HECRAS, za pripravo geometrije pa je bilo uporabljeno programsko orodje ESRI ArcGIS z razširitvijo HEC-GeoRAS. To omogoča pripravo digitalnega modela terena s pomočjo LIDAR podatkov, na podlagi tega pa pripravo prostorskih podatkov o geometriji rečnega korita in poplavnih površin. Rezultati so predstavljeni z grafikoni, ki predstavljajo pretočnost struge vzdolž celotnega obravnavanega odseka Meže.
