Scaling resistance of concrete surfaces exposed to deicing chemicals |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
This graduation thesis covers the area of concrete resistance to external influences, especially the effects of freezing and thawing in presence of deicing salts (resistance to salt frost scaling). We investigated the effect of chloride salts on scaling of concrete. In addition
to etalon sample of concrete with cement CEM I, we also included mineral additive fly ash as a replacement of part of the cement in concrete. To determine the resistance of each concrete mixture to salt frost scaling by using different types of chloride salts we implemented standard test method according to the SIST 1026 standard. We investigated resistance of different types of aerated concrete in combination with various types of deicing salts in different concentrations. In the context of this thesis we also performed some additional tests. Initial tests on fresh concretes were carried out primarily to ensure approximately the same consistency of all concrete mixtures tested. On the hardened concrete we finally performed an investigation of penetration depth of chlorides and carried
out linear microscopy for easier interpretation of the results obtained. |
