The diploma thesis deals with structural robustness of steel framed buildings. The design guidance and the strategies in accordance with the Eurocodes (SIST EN 1990 and SIST EN 1991), applicable for structural robustness and designing for the avoidance of disproportionate collapse are presented. The structure has to be robust to withstand extra load in the cases of accidental events like fire, explosions, impact or the consequences of human error. SIST EN 1991-1-7 provides a method to categorise buildings in consequences classes. The building categorisation considers the building type, occupancy and size. For lower consequences of failure class we presented the provision of a minimum level of horizontal tying. In higher classes, the provision of vertical ties was provided in addition. We also
showed the notional removal method, where the nonlinear response of the structure was checked in case of a removed column. The key element method was used, where the limit of admissible local damage was exceeded. We presented the design of most important structural elements to sustain the
nominal accidental load. For the building in the class with the highest consequences of failure, a simplified systematic risk assessment was undertaken, taking into account the event of a vehicle impact. The total economic risk was monitored while changing the input data about the frequency and amplitude probability of the event. |

Za prenašanje dodatnih obremenitev, ki jih predstavljajo nezgodni vplivi (požar, eksplozije, vpliv oziroma posledice človeških napak in trki), glavno vlogo odigra robustnost konstrukcije. Glede na velikost, obiskanost in družbeni pomen, so zgradbe razvrščene v različne razrede posledic, za katere so določene posamezne zahteve in ukrepi za zagotavljanje ustrezne robustnosti. Z velikostjo in pomembnostjo zgradbe
naraščajo tudi zahteve glede robustnosti. Pri najnižjem razredu sem prikazal zagotavljanje minimalnih horizontalnih vezi v spojih. V višjih razredih sem v konstrukciji zagotavljal efektivne horizontalne in vertikalne vezi.
