Interest in useful plants among students enrolled in adult education |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
The goal of the diploma thesis was to find out, by means of a questionnaire, which useful plants could be used for motivation in biology class. The sample comprised 61 Roma participants in adult education. Surveys were conducted at the Centre for Education and Culture Trebnje (CIK) and Development and Education Centre Novo mesto (RIC). 68.9% of interviews completed questionnaire in Novo mesto and 31.1% in Trebnjem. We searched for differences between the responses among respondents of different age, sex and place of education. Between the responses of younger participants were differences only in the plants from which drugs are obtained and getting opium and heroin from poppies. Both topics have appeared to participants aged 20-24 years, above-average interest while there were younger and older participants evaluated with below average ratings. We assumed that women who are involved in adult education seem relevant to other plants as well as men. The difference is found only in one group of useful plants (plants from which drugs are obtained, which appeared to be more interesting to men). Reply participants, regardless of their place of schooling were against expectations. Participants from Novo mesto were deemed interesting plants from which drugs are obtained, and getting opium and heroin from poppies; participants from Trebnjega they looked interesting plants for spices, plants for decorating your rooms and plants on the window sills. |
