The state of physical and motor development, tracked by the physical education report card, shows that we are entering a serious crisis caused by a change in lifestyle. The biggest negative changes were tracked in general endurance. The purpose of this study was to determine the change in time needed by pupils with minor psychological impairment for a 600m run in the timeframe of a year. Therefore two groups of pupils were tracked, of which the experimental group participated in a six week, twice a week endurance improvement programme. We chose the participating students from schools with lower educational standards. Pupils of both schools were of comparable age as well as had the same gender ratio. At each school six pupils from fourth to sixth grade, three girls and three boys, meaning a total of 12 pupils were chosen. Subject of the analysis were the change in time needed for a 600m run for each pupil and the difference between the control and experimental group in the timeframe of a year, as well as the comparison with average results of same age, non-impaired pupils from the Podravska region. It was found that pupils of the experimental group achieved slightly better results than pupils from the control group. Surprisingly, the times of pupils from the control group also improved in the cause of a year. |
