Sekundarni povzetek:	Diploma seminar speaks of ceramics as a field of artistic expression and not just as pottery craft. I presented short overview of developing ceramic sculpture and its changing role. Clay inspires design and touch more than other sculpture media. It starts as early as in prehistory. Although it sometimes seems that was sculptural ceramics neglected in art history overview, it was not so in actual praxis. There is a rich tradition of ceramics in the East and also in Europe during the renaissance and from that time on. Until today it has been enforcing and freeing of the term craft. In pedagogical part I have planned a class, where the students would get to know more about artistic ceramics and its qualities.
