Sekundarni povzetek: In the research we wanted to find out, if different concentrations of willow (Salix fragilis) abstracs influence the activity of antioxidative catalase enzymes in Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica). For that, we used previously prepared F. japonica leaves and roots samples, which were watered with 0,1 and 1% willow extracts. As control samples we used F. japonica leaves and root samples, which were watered with distilled water. First we measured protein content in all samples. The results showed that leaves contained more proteins than roots. By measuring enzyme activity we discovered, that plants were exposed to oxidative stress, because the level of CAT activity increased, compared to that of the control plant. In this case CAT ensured antioxidative defense against? oxidative stress. We also discovered, that higher the concentration of the salix extract, which we used to water the plants, the bigger the specific activity of catalase, but the diference was not statisticli sagnificant.
