diplomsko delo

Povzetek

Diplomsko delo obravnava stare starše v sodobni slovenski družbi. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili pojme: družina, razširjena družina, razširjena družina v Sloveniji, demografske razmere v slovenski družbi, staranje in starost, starostna obdobja in stare starše. Ugotavljali smo povezanost dijakov (vnukov) in starih staršev. Poskušali smo ugotoviti, kakšna je bila vloga starih staršev v otroštvu dijakov (vnukov) in kakšna je njihova vloga sedaj, ko so srednješolci. Primerjali smo tudi njihove stike in način skupnega preživljanja časa dijakov (vnukov) in njihovih starih staršev v njihovem otroštvu in sedaj, ko so srednješolci. Rezultate obeh anket smo analizirali in predstavili v obliki tabel in grafično ter jih interpretirali. Preverili smo zastavljene raziskovalne hipoteze in dobljene ugotovitve strnili.

Sekundarni povzetek: The diploma paper addresses grandparents in contemporary Slovenian society. In the theoretical part, I present the concept of family, extended family and aspects of the extended family in Slovenia. Moreover, I focus on the demographic situation in the Slovenian society regarding the process of aging and age along with its periods and grandparents. In defining grandparents, I am interested in finding out who grandparents actually are and their role in the past and today. I have focused on their role in the lives of grandchildren and how they are addressed and defined in Slovenian legislation. In the empirical part, I have conducted two similar questionnaires (questionnaire for students who are also grandchildren and a questionnaire for grandparents). By doing so, I have assessed the role of grandparents in the lives of grandchildren and vice versa. Moreover, I have determined the relationship between grandchildren and grandparents. I have tried to shed light on the role of grandparents regarding students' childhood and recent times in high school. I have also compared the frequency of their visits, staying in touch and ways of spending time together during childhood and recent years. I have analysed, presented and interpreted the results of both questionnaires in tabular and graphic forms. Finally, I have confirmed or overthrown the hypotheses and summed up my findings.
