diplomsko delo
Povzetek
Diplomsko delo z naslovom Kmetijsko izrazje v Andovcih prinaša narečno podobo govora vasi Andovci in abecedni slovarček narečnega kmetijskega izrazja, ki je nastal s pomočjo gradiva, posnetega z diktafonom. V začetku dela so predstavljene geografske, gospodarske in zgodovinske značilnosti Porabja in Andovcev, nato pa še porabsko ljudsko izročilo in šolstvo.

Agricultural terminology in Andovci |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
The diploma paper entitled Agricultural Terminology in Andovci deals with the dialectal aspect of the dialect spoken in the village of Andovci, as well as with the alphabetical glossary of the dialectal agricultural terminology created with the aid of materials recorded with a voice recorder. Firstly, the geographical, economic, and historical characteristics of Porabje and Andovci (Orfalu) are presented in the diploma paper, followed by a description of folk tradition as well as the school system in Porabje. Further on, focus is put on a detailed phonological and morphological introduction of the Andovci dialect, which, according to Slovene dialectology, belongs to the dialect of Števanovci (Apátistvánfalva), since it is the closest to it. Typical of the Andovci dialect is a monophthong-diphthong vowel system. Tonemic accentuation is not a characteristic of this dialect, however. The key element of the diploma paper represents the agricultural terminology glossary of the village of Andovci. The materials collected are arranged in a form of a dictionary and divided into two parts: i.e. Orchard and Garden and Field. The glossary mostly contains archaic terms, known only by the older population. Some modern expressions are also stated, however, having been established by the introduction of modern farm machinery. 534 dictionary entries have been included in the glossary, with the majority being nouns, and with all words being arranged alphabetically. The literary entry is followed by the phonetic spelling of the dialectal equivalent labelled with a corresponding grammatical qualifier. Each term is followed by a semantic explanation on the basis of the Dictionary of Standard Slovenian Language, and then followed by illustrative dialectal materials. An etymological analysis has been made which has shown that most words are not borrowed, i. e., they are of Slavic origin. The loanwords are mainly of Hungarian origin, followed by Germanisms, whereas the fewest loanwords are Romanisms which were usually taken through German. The majority of the dialectal materials were collected by using a questionnaire on gardens, orchards and fields, prepared by Ms Francka Benedik. Some terms were also collected through the Herbs in the Goričko Regional Park project. The interviewees were Karel and Šarlota Holec from Andovci. With both having worked in the area of agriculture for many years, they are very familiar with the old terms for farm machinery, tools, and accessories once used for the cultivation of land. |
