Povzetek

Listine so neprecenljiv vir srednjeveških dokumentov in predstavljajo zapis o nekem preteklem pravnem dejanju. Njihov pomen je predvsem v vsebinsko – pravnem pogledu. Nenehno združevanje z Bogom je bil osnovni ideal kartuzijanov in namen njihovega življenja. Razmišljanje o smrti, čaščenje Boga, obhajanje aniverzarija v samostanskih cerkvah, vnaprejšnja zagotovitev pokopa v želeni cerkveni ustanovi in večne maše so bili razlogi ustanoviteljev samostanov, da so izdajali listine s takšno vsebino.

Sekundarni povzetek: Charters are a priceless source of medieval documents representing records of past legal acts. Their value lies in the legal aspects of their content. The basic ideal of Carthusians and the purpose of their lives was a constant connection to God. The reasons of monastery founders for issuing charters with such content included thinking about death, worshiping God, celebrating anniversary of death in monastery churches, a priori assurance of burial in a desired church as well as eternal masses. Charters served as a symbolic connection between the issuer and God. Slovenian Charterhouses were closely connected with the members of the Sannegg family, who later became the Counts of Celje. They served as their benefactors and protectors with their deeds of gift and charters of privileges providing the foundation for their existence. Eventual extinction of the family and a widespread crisis of religion-based lifestyle plunged Slovenian Carthusians into an economic an spiritual recession. J. Mlinarič established in the monograph Kartuzija Pleterje that the reasons of Hermann II. for founding the Pleterje charterhouse, where he would find eternal rest, were in line with his religious convictions that everything in this world is transient, that the only property a man could possess is a God-given feud and that the man’s only true property are his own good deeds...
