(magistrsko delo)

Medicinska sestra mora poznati in upoštevati načela profesionalne etike, povezovati teoretično znanje z različnih področij s praktičnimi izkušnjami pri delu s pacienti. Klinična praksa, njeno vodenje ter mentorstvo so pomembni dejavniki v izobraževalnem procesu zdravstvene nege. Vloga mentorjev v kliničnem okolju je zelo pomembna in odgovorna. Namen raziskave je preveriti, kako mentorji v kliničnih okoljih zdravstvene nege ocenjujejo in vrednotijo svoje delo s študenti. Metodologija: Uporabili smo kvantitativno metodo raziskovanja s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, katerega so izpolnjevali diplomirane medicinske sestre in diplomirani zdravstveniki, ki so v kliničnih okoljih mentorji študentom zdravstvene nege. Kvantitativni podatki so obdelani s pomočjo računalniškega programa SPSS 17.0 verzije in deskriptivne statistike. Podatki so prikazani v tabelah in grafih.

Sekundarni naslov: MENTOR SELF-EVALUTION IN THE CLINICAL NURSING SETTING
Sekundarni povzetek: Background: Health care has a significant impact on the treatment of patients, therefore a fundamental objective of the education health care program is to train expert, nurse or graduate doctor to work at all levels of health care. The nurse must be aware of and comply with the principles of professional ethics, combine theoretical knowledge from different fields with practical experience in working with patients. Clinical practice, its management and mentoring are important factors in the educational process of health care. The role of mentors in the clinical setting is very important and responsible. The purpose of the research is to examine how mentors in clinical settings of nursing assess and evaluate their work with students. Methodology: Quantitative research method was used with a questionnaire, that was filled in by the nurses and graduate doctors who are mentors for nursing students in clinical environments. Quantitative data is processed by a computer program SPSS and descriptive statistics. The data is presented in tables and graphs. Results: The results of the study showed that the mentors take additional training and prepare themselves for their job – mentoring. A major problem is the lack of time for dealing with students. Due to the mentorship they strengthened their professional development, but they hold the opinion that they are not sufficiently valued and rewarded by the environment in which they work and by the educational institutions. Conclusion: Liability carriers in Slovenia should consider how much appreciated and valued are the people who educate and train future generations that will be strongly needed in the time of distress.
