magistrska naloga

Povzetek

V magistrskem delu sem preučevala, kakšne so razlike med moškimi in ženskami v percepciji in refleksiji do lepotnih idealov v modernih družbah v 20. in 21. stoletju.

Sekundarni naslov: GENDER DIFFERENCESTHROUGH COMPREHENSION OF BEAUTY IDEALS
Sekundarni povzetek: In this master's thesis I have studied the differences between males and females in the perception of seeing and responding to the ideal of beauty in modern societies in the 20th and 21st century. With this purpose I have examined the theoretical part, defined the ideal of beauty and also identified which endogenous and exogenous factors create ideal of beauty. In doing so, I leaned on the concepts and theories of authors such as Kuhar, Foucault, Feingold, Žižek, Godina etc. In the empirical part I determined on quantitative and qualitative manner which are the beauty ideals of the student population in the region of Styria, defined the differences in the perception of the ideal of beauty between men and women, and tried to support the findings of the interpretation of the theory. The acquired empirical data have shown that there are no major gender differences in the perception of beauty ideal. We refuted the first hypothesis that to men physical attractiveness of the opposite sex is much more important as to women, just as hypothesis three that according to today's women's thinness is an ideal of beauty for women, which is not in accordance with the ideals of men. Gender differences have emerged in the second hypothesis, which assumed that aesthetic orientation assumes muscular built male body, but women do not agree to such extent.
