diplomsko delo
Teoretični del zaključujemo s predstavitvijo sodobnih oblikovalcev in ustvarjalcev nakita.

Wood as an art expressive means |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In the graduation thesis titled Wood as an art expressive means, we focused on researching the problems of designing and manufacturing wood jewellery ornaments. The choice of the research problem of our graduation thesis was mainly influenced by our knowledge of the material up to this point, and our fondness for uniquely designed jewellery. The selected subject is discussed from professionally-theoretical and practical-artistic perspective. We used descriptive, comparative, historical, and experimental research methods. The theoretical part is focused on the presentation of wood as a material; and technology of wood: wood processing and transformation procedures, symbolic meaning of wood and trees, researching the history of decorating the human body, functions, and symbolic meaning of jewellery. We also researched artistic perspectives and relations of artistic variables toward jewellery ornaments. The theoretical part is concluded with the presentation of the modern jewellery designers and creators. The theoretical part is followed by practical part in which we focused on copyright designed wood jewellery. In accordance with the set up hypotheses, artistic attraction of the material itself was established as a starting point for jewellery designing, which can be - using various technological procedures - transformed, and therefore we can influence its quality and expressiveness. In relationship and in combination with other materials, wood can lose its original strength and importance. |
