Povzetek

S frazemi se otroci srečujejo že zelo zgodaj in povsod, tudi v šoli. V diplomski nalogi Frazemi v učnem gradivu in njihovo razumevanje pri četrtošolcih se je obravnavalo razumevanje frazemov iz učnega gradiva, ki so ga v četrtem razredu uporabljali v raziskavo vključeni četrtošolci ene od mariborskih osnovnih šol. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene lastnosti in vrste frazemov. Podrobneje je predstavljeno razvijanje razumevanja frazemov v osnovni šoli, ki je vezano na operativne cilje in standarde znanja iz aktualnega učnega načrta za slovenščino v osnovni šoli (2011). Predstavljeni so tudi frazemi iz učnega gradiva, ki so bili vključeni v raziskavo. Najdeni frazemi so bili izpisani, vsakemu je bila pripisana slovarska oblika in njegov pomen. V empiričnem delu se je s pomočjo izdelanega vprašalnika preverjalo razumevanje obravnavanih frazemov pri 48 v raziskavo vključenih četrtošolcih ene od mariborskih osnovnih šol. Razumevanje obravnavanih frazemov se je preverjalo glede na posamezne skupine učencev v osnovni šoli in glede na spol. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da je učno gradivo za četrti razred, ki je bilo vključeno v raziskavo, bogato s frazemi. Dobljeni rezultati so pokazali, da učenci ob koncu leta ne poznajo pomena večine obravnavanih frazemov iz učnega gradiva, ki so ga v tistem šolskem letu uporabljali pri pouku slovenščine. Učenci še najbolje razumejo primerjalne frazeme z zoonimno komponento. Pri razumevanju obravnavanih frazemov so slabše rezultate dosegli tujejezični učenci ter učenci z učnimi težavami. Na podlagi dobljenih rezultatov je bilo ugotovljeno, da bi bilo treba primanjkljaj v razumevanju frazemov odpraviti s poglobljenim uzaveščanjem frazemov, z opozarjanjem na frazeme pri srečevanju z njimi pri pouku, s preverjanjem razumevanja le-teh ter z dopolnjevanjem in ponavljajočim se utrjevanjem še drugih primerov frazemov.

Sekundarni povzetek: Children are often exposed to idioms at a very early age, which happens everywhere, including school. The graduation thesis Idioms in Course Materials and Their Understanding by Fourth Grade Pupils deals with understanding of idioms in course materials that were used by fourth grade pupils of one of the schools in Maribor who were included in the research. The theoretical part presents the characteristics and types of idioms. The development of the understanding of idioms in elementary school, which is linked to operational objectives and standards of knowledge in the current curriculum for Slovene language lessons in elementary school (2011), has been presented in detail. Idioms occurring in the course materials that were included in the research have also been described. The idioms found in the materials were written out, including the dictionary form of the idiom and its meaning. The empirical part focuses on the testing of the understanding of these idioms that was done with the help of a questionnaire that was presented to 48 fourth grade pupils of one of the schools in Maribor who were included in the research. The testing of the understanding of these idioms was carried out according to individual groups of pupils in the elementary school and according to their gender. It has been established that the fourth grade course materials included in the research are rich with idioms. The results have shown that pupils did not know the meaning of most of the idioms in course materials used in Slovene language lessons in that school year. Comparative idioms with a zoonym component are the idioms pupils understood best. Pupils who are non-native speakers of Slovene and pupils with learning difficulties have shown poorer results in understanding of the idioms. Based on the results, it has been found that the deficit in understanding of idioms should be avoided with teaching in-depth comprehension of idioms, pointing out idioms in class lessons, testing of the understanding of them, as well as with elaboration and consolidation of knowledge of other idioms.
