Podatke smo obdelali in grafično prikazali s pomočjo programov Microsoft Word in Microsoft Excel in SPSS 20.0.

Sekundarni naslov: THE IMPORTANCE OF EVALUATING WALKING IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
Sekundarni povzetek: Background: Multiple sclerosis is a neurological disease of young adults in particular, a cause of it till today remains unknown. Disease is marked by number of symptoms, which with progression of disease are becoming more numerous. On the movability of patients with multiple sclerosis, affects primarily troubles in walking, which can consequently with the progression of the disease lead to permanent disability. At each regular examination in the clinic, walk test is done by patients with multiple sclerosis, which quantitatively measures the ability to walk. The aim of the thesis is to present the disease multiple sclerosis and with research identify some of the factors that affect the results of the walk test (T25FW). Research methods: In this study we used a descriptive and quantitative methodology. Data was collected using an anonymous questionnaire, which consisted of 10 questions. Questionnaire has been completed by 102 patients with multiple sclerosis. Data was analyzed and visualized using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Research question and hypothesis, we examined with the statistical program SPSS 20.0. Research results: We have found that the factors, that affect on results of walking test are disease duration, and EDSS score and form of the disease. The highest correlation was found between the walk test and score of EDSS, because walking time significantly extends with a higher score of EDSS. As we anticipated, the best time on walk test achieved the patients who walk longer distances. Conclusion: We discovered that restricted movement represent the biggest fear by patients with multiple sclerosis. Movement is essential by achieveing better results in the walk test and is also the path to better quality of life. However, we have to realize that the duration of the disease, commissions and progression of the disease present an obstacle when implementing physical activity by patients with multiple sclerosis.
