Povzetek
V diplomskem delu je predstavljena organizirana kriminaliteta v Italiji in zelo skrivnostna skupina organizirane kriminalitete, imenovana Stidda. Italija se že od 19. stoletja spopada z organizirano kriminaliteto, ki je prisotna na ozemlju celotne države. Ozemlje so si razdelile kriminalne združbe in sicer na jugu, oziroma na Siciliji vlada najstarejša Mafija oz. La Cosa nostra-»naša stvar«, Camorra iz območja Campanije, 'Ndrangheta s Calabrije, Sacra Corona Unita,»sveta združena krona« iz Apulije in najmlajša in najmanj znana Stidda iz juga Sicilije.
Vse navedene kriminalne združbe se ukvarjajo z različnimi nelegalnimi dejavnostmi kot so preprodajanje mamil in orožja, izsiljevanjem, ugrabitvami, trgovino z ljudmi in prostitucijo. Njihov vpliv pa se širi tudi v legalne posle kot so gradbeništvo in turizem, za dosego svojih ciljev najpogosteje uporabljajo nasilje.
Organizirana kriminaliteta oz. organizirane kriminalne skupine so v Italiji sprožile upor do legitimne države in oblasti, mafijske skupine so postale sčasoma neformalna oblast. Začelo se je z neplačevanjem davkov in nepokorščina, lokalni kriminalci so postajali vse močnejši, ljudje so se pričeli združevati v kriminalne skupine. Ključna razloga za združevanje sta bila hiter zaslužek z nelegalnimi posli in zaščita, katero so imeli posamezniki, ki jim jo je omogočala združba, katere člani so bili.
Organizirana kriminaliteta se je z leti krepila in njena moč in vpliv sta se razbohotila do nepojmljivih razsežnosti, njen lovke so se razširile v gospodarstvo, družbo in celo v najvišje politične vrhove. V Italiji, za mafijo, upravičeno uporabljajo izraz "la piovra". Beseda pomeni hobotnica, katere lovke so razpredene v vse dele italijanske družbe, katero vztrajno drži v primežu kriminala.

The thesis was presented by organized crime in Italy and very mysterious group of organized crime, called Stidda. Italy since the 19th century conflict with organized crime, which is present in the territory of the whole country. The territory was divided among criminal gangs and on the south, or in Sicily mafia or government oldest. La Cosa Nostra - "our thing" Camorra from Campania area, Ndrangheta from Calabria, the Sacra Corona Unita, "the world combined crown" of Apulia and the youngest and least known Stidda from the south of Sicily.
All of that criminal groups dealing with various illegal activities such as drugs and weapons, trafficking, extortion, kidnapping, human trafficking and prostitution. Their influence is expanding in legal transactions such as construction and tourism to achieve its objectives most commonly used violence.
Organized crime or. organized criminal groups in Italy triggered resistance to the legitimate state and government, mafia groups have become gradually informal power. It started with the non-payment of taxes and disobedience, local criminals were becoming stronger, people have begun to combine in a criminal group . In Italy, for its everywhere ramified mob used the expression "La Piovra".
