Povzetek

Magistrsko delo z naslovom Zemljiški gospostvi Legen in Rotenturn ter župnija Sveti Martin v Šmartnem pri Slovenj Gradcu v popisu podložnih hiš 1754 temelji na transliteraciji, analizi in sintezi popisa podložnih hiš teh treh zemljiških posesti. Popis iz leta 1754 se je omejil na seznam naseljenih hiš in hišnih gospodarjev in ne predstavlja ljudskega štetja v današnjem pomenu besede, pa tudi ne golega popisa hiš, temveč seznam družinskih skupnosti in kmečkih gospodarstev z imeni družinskih poglavarjev in z oznakami njihovih poklicev. Pri meščanih in tržanih ločimo ljudi s poklicem (obrtnik) in brez poklica (posestnik) ter še v kraju živeče ljudi brez meščanskega statusa in brez poklica, (kočarji in gostači) ki so živeli v najeti hiši ali koči. Pri podložnem kmečkem prebivalstvu ločimo: četrtinski kmet, polovični kmet, tričetrtinski kmet, cel kmet in ljudje brez kmetije (kočarji, gostači, vinogradniški kočarji in viničarji). Popis je bil izveden v okviru predvidene davčne reforme na zahtevo vladarice Marije Terezije. Izvajale so ga posamezne župnije in zemljiška gospostva. Na začetku magistrskega dela je predstavljena zgodovina zemljiškega gospostva Legen in Rotenturn ter župnije sv. Martina v Šmartnem pri Slovenj Gradcu do sredine 18. stoletja. Nato sledi transliteracija, analiza in sinteza popisa teh treh enot. V njih popisani podložniki so bili prav tedaj lastniki oziroma imetniki posamezne podložne kmečke ali nekmečke zemljiške posesti v sklopu posestnih uradov. Takšen popis predstavlja zanimiv vpogled v socialno in statusno strukturo prebivalstva sredi 18. stoletja.

Sekundarni povzetek: The master’s thesis, entitled The Ground Estate Legen and Rotenturn and Parish Saint Martin by Šmartno by Slovenj Gradec in the Year 1754, is based on transliteration, analysis and synthesis of the census of subject’s houses on these three landed properties. The 1754 census was limited to the inventory of populated houses and masters of the house, and it does not represent neither the population census in the modern sense of the word nor a mere inventory of houses, but an inventory of family communities and agricultural estates with the names of family heads and with annotations about their professions. When talking about the inhabitants of cities and market towns, we distinguish between people with a profession (craftsman) and without one (landowner) and people living in the same town without a bourgeois status and without a profession, (cottagers and tenants) who lived in a rented house or cottage. In subservient peasant population, we distinguish between: quarter peasants, half peasants, three-quarter peasants, whole peasants and people without a farm (cottagers, tenants, vineyard cottagers and labourers). The census was carried out within the context of the foreseen tax reform at the request of Empress Maria Theresa. It was carried out by individual parishes and ground estates. The beginning of this master's thesis contains a presentation of the history of the ground estates Legen and Rotenturn and the Parish Saint Martin in Šmartno by Slovenj Gradec up to the mid-18th century. It is followed by a transliteration, analysis and synthesis of the census of these three units. The subjects listed in the census were, at that time, the owners or the holders of an individual subservient peasant or non-peasant landed property belonging to one of the manorial offices. Such a census gives us an interesting insight into the social and status structure of the population in the mid-18th century.
