Povzetek
Nekatere naše vrline krasijo zlate lastnosti, druge pa kvarijo sivi odtenki. Če bi ljudje razumeli in spoznali svojo osebnost, ter osebnostne tipe drugih ljudi, bi se problemi pri komunikaciji občutno zmanjšali. Takrat bi namreč lažje uvideli, zakaj je nekdo reagiral na način, kot je ali zakaj je nekdo dejal to, kar je. Smisel tega je, da spoznamo svoje dobre lastnosti, ki jih lahko še bolj razvijemo, slabe pa poskušamo nadzorovati in tako zmanjšati njihov vpliv.
Iskanje uspešnih in učinkovitih stilov vodenja je že od nekdaj pomemben del proučevanja procesa vodenja. Prepričanj o obstoju najboljšega stila vodenja, ki bi bil uspešen in učinkovit v vseh situacijah, je danes veliko. Vendar danes, ko se situacije nenehno spreminjajo, sploh v trajanju gospodarske krize, pa takšno vodenje ne pride več v poštev. Tako lahko rečemo, da je nepravilno tisto vodenje, ko se isti stil vodenja uporablja in ponavlja v vsaki situaciji, do vsakega posameznika in ob vsakem času. Na izbiro stila vodenja pa vplivajo tudi osebnostne lastnosti vodje. Osebnostne lastnosti vodje definirajo obnašanje vodje, ki je lahko ekstravertirano oziroma introvertirano, odločno, vestno in odgovorno, samozavestno, zaupljivo, kako se vodja obnaša v odnosih z drugimi ljudmi, kako sprejema in opravlja svoje delovne naloge. Vendar moramo tukaj omeniti, da se osebnostne lastnosti lahko spremenijo in se, odvisno od volje in želje posameznika, lahko razvijajo bolj v pozitivno ali v negativno smer. Nesporno ima osebnost vodje velik vpliv na izbiro stila vodenja, ob tem pa ne smemo zanemariti tudi drugih pomembnih vplivnih dejavnikov, kot so: situacija, v kateri se vodja, zaposleni ali organizacija nahaja, vplivi okolja in kultura organizacije, osebnost zaposlenih, zastavljeni cilji, itd.

Some of our virtues are embellished with golden quality, while the others are tainted with grey shade. If people knew and understood their own personality and personality types of the others, the difficulties related to communication would significantly decrease. Such knowledge alleviates the understanding of other people’s reactions and statements. The purpose of this knowledge is to recognize and evolve our own positive characteristics as well as to control negative characteristics in order to reduce their effect.
Finding effective and efficient leadership style has always been an important part of studying the process of leadership. Nowadays, there are numerous convictions about the existence of the best style of management, which would be efficient in all kinds of situations. However, present-day situations are changing relentlessly, especially in the time of the economic crisis; therefore, such leadership style is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we can conclude that the leadership style is incorrect when applied in the same manner, in every situation, to any individual, and at all times.
Among other things, the leader’s personality traits have a significant influence on choosing the leadership style. The leader’s personality traits define his/her behavior, which can be extraverted or introverted, strong, confident, responsible or conscientious. They also define the leader’s behavior in relations with other people, and the way he/she accepts and carries out his/her own tasks. Nevertheless, we have to emphasize, that the personality traits are subject to changes. They can change in a positive or negative way according to will and wishes of the individual. There is no doubt that the leader’s personality has a major influence on the choice of leadership style. However, we cannot ignore the other important factors of influence, such as the situation in which a leader, an employee or organization are involved, effects of the environment and culture in the organization, personalities of employees, goals that have been set, etc. |
