diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa
Povzetek
V okviru diplomske naloge, smo izvedli raziskavo o zbiranju kondenzata v procesu proizvodnje metanola za podjetje Nafta Petrochem d.o.o..

Collection of condensate in the methanol production plant |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In the framework of this diploma thesis we have conducted a research on condensate collection in the process of producing methanol for Nafta Petrochem d.o.o.
The production includes three phases which are very extensive. We have focused only on the first phase, the production of synthesis gas where the largest amount of condensate is being made. In the current production methanol is being made out of natural gas which is reformed into synthesis gas in the steam reformer. During the cooling of synthesis gas large amounts of condensate are produced.
We have simulated the process of producing methanol and condensate collection with the process simulator Aspen Plus. Initially, natural gas was used as a raw material, later on it was substituted with biogas.
We have discovered that the structure of the condensate and mas flow rate in both raw materials do not differ as much. With biogas the metabolic rate of the main reactions is lower and we have, consequently gathered more of the condensate in comparison to natural gas. With biogas we are able to pass high pressure steam (reactant) with lower thermal flow.
After finishing the research and making the economic analysis we have come to the conclusion that natural gas can be replaced with biogas, as a raw material. Synthesis gas derived from biogas offers a comparable structure and quality for further production. Taking into consideration that the prices of natural gas and biogas are equal, it is possible to save (high pressure steam) in long term. |
