Hilara regnealai Pârvu, 1991 is a new species record for Turkish fauna and also the genus Hilara Meigen is recorded for the first time in Turkey. The description of the previously unknown female is given.

The specimens of robber flies, collected in Turkey between 1992 and 2005, were studied. Erax nigrosetosus Theodor, 1980 is recorded for the first time in the Turkish robber flies fauna.
