Abstract

Opravili smo raziskovalno študijo za Nafto Petrochem, d. o. o.. Namen diplomskega dela je simulirati proizvodnjo heksamina z računalniškim programom Aspen Plus. Heksamin je bela kemijska spojina, ki nastaja kot produkt reakcije med formaldehidom in amoniakom. Reakcija je eksotermna. Kot produkt reakcije nastane heksamin v vodni raztopini, ki jo lahko uporabimo kot končni produkt, ali pa ga kristaliziramo do trdnega heksamina. Uporabljamo ga v vojaški in farmacevtski industriji ter za proizvodnjo različnih smol, vendar se povsod uporablja v majhnih količinah. Z različnimi simulacijami smo preučili različne vplive parametrov na kontinuirno proizvodnjo heksamina in izbrali najracionalnejšo proizvodnjo heksamina.

Secondary abstract: We have done a research study for company Nafta Petrochem d.o.o.. Purpose of this thesis is to simulate production of hexamine with computer software Aspen Plus. Hexamine is a white chemical compound which is formed in reaction between formaldehyde and ammonia. Reaction is exothermic. Reaction product is hexamine in a water solution which could be used as a final product or can be crystallized. Hexamine is used in military and pharmaceutical industry and in production of resins. Nevertheless, it is used in small quantities. With different simulations we have studied effects of different parameters on continuous production of hexamine to make production more economical for customer.
