Abstract
Namen tega magistrskega dela je raziskati medsebojni vpliv knjige in družbe oziroma kako družba vpliva na vsebino knjige in z njo povezane založniške procese ter kakšen je vpliv knjige na družbo na primeru Slovenske kuharice, znamenite slovenske kuharske knjige s 150-letno tradicijo. V tem magistrskem delu želimo odgovoriti na vprašanja, kako so se skozi čas v skladu z uredniško politiko spreminjale izdaje Slovenske kuharice, so bile pri tem upoštevane družbene spremembe in kakšno vlogo so pri produkciji knjig imeli uredniki. Podatki so bili zbrani z analizo vseh 29 izdaj Slovenske kuharice ter intervjuji z urednicami Velike slovenske kuharice. Rezultati so delno potrdili hipotezo, da se je Slovenska kuharica prilagajala prehranjevalnim navadam Slovencev, zaradi česar je bila tudi prodajno uspešna, saj je bilo ugotovljeno, da je poleg sledenja novostim pomembno tudi to, da knjiga ohranja izvirno tradicijo. Poleg rednega posodabljanja in prilagajanja vsebine družbenim spremembam imata pomembno vlogo pri uspehu knjige tudi oblikovanje in avtor ali blagovna znamka. Uredniki so se v zgodovini ustvarjanja Slovenske kuharice pojavljali v različnih vlogah: kot lektorji in avtorji kazal ter uvodov in kot uredniki ali kulturni posredniki, ki so z upoštevanjem sprememb v družbi omogočili vpliv družbe na knjigo. Ugotovitve raziskave lahko pomagajo pri ponovni izdaji Slovenske kuharice ali katere druge kuharske knjige oziroma prenovljene izdaje knjige s podobno odvisnostjo od družbenih sprememb.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to research a reciprocal influence of book and society or how the society affects the content of the book and publishing processes, connected with it, and what is the influence of the book on the society on the example of Slovenska kuharica, famous Slovenian cookbook with 150 years of tradition. In this master's thesis, we aim to answer the questions how did the editions of Slovenska kuharica change through the time in comparison with editorial policies, were the changes in the society considered and what was the role of editors in the production of the books. Data was collected with the analysis of all 29 editions of Slovenska kuharica and interviews with editors of Velika slovenska kuharica. Results have partially confirmed the hypothesis that Slovenska kuharica adjusted to the eating habits of Slovenians, which made it commercially successful, considering we found out that next to following the novelties, keeping the initial tradition of the book is also important. Besides frequent updating and adapting the content to social changes, what is also important for the success of the book is design and author or brand. In the history of the making of Slovenska kuharica editors appeared in different roles: as copywriters and authors of indexes and introductions, and as editors or cultural intermediaries, who made the influence of the society on the book possible with taking into account the changes in society. The findings of the research can help with the next edition of Slovenska kuharica or any other cookbook or renewed edition of a book with a similar dependence on social changes. |
