Secondary abstract: | Companies that are engaged in international business are faced with cross-cultural risks. In the communication of business partners from different cultures misunderstandings can arise very quickly. Proficiency in cultures of foreign business partners is crucial for appropriate international communication and successful international business. In the theoretical part of the diploma project we defined the term »culture« and introduced the elements of culture and selected conceptual models of intercultural differences. We also defined the term and types of »business communication« and the term and features of intercultural business communication. In the first part of empirical research we analysed Greek culture with respect to selected conceptual models of intercultural differences and introduced the features of communication in Greek business environment. Based on the findings of the interview with the employed foreigners in the international company in Greece we analysed the impact of Greek culture on international business communication. |
