Abstract

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂparticularities of policy planning in a family business
Secondary abstract: Family businesses act in a different way than non-family, because it is more complicated to maintain a hierarchy, because of family ties. The vision in the mission is in principle, different from those in non-family businesses, because here is the desire to remain the ownership in the hands of the family over a long period of time. The boundaries between business and family life must be clearly defined to talk about successful business. Business matters need to be put in front of family interests in a family business, although it is difficult. Family businesses are increasingly gaining ground and becoming dominant over non-family businesses, both in numbers and in performance. The family business is therefore becoming more important day by day, but we still do not have officially established definition of this term, as experts diverge about what a family business generally represents.
