Secondary abstract: | Modern education requires the use of ICT in the teaching process as an indirect means of developing the information society. Elementary schools in Slovenia follow the latest trends in e-learning, which is reflected in recent years in the form of introducing distant education and has the form of online classrooms filled with multimedia content. We have explained the difference between e-learning and distant education and shown its formation and shown how the elementary school with the assistance of the “E-šolstvo” project can establish a quality virtual learning environment in a simple way. The empirical part of the work reviews the effectiveness of online classrooms in the teaching process in primary schools with the help of statistical data analysis that we have acquired through a web questionnaire. The results confirm good effectiveness of online classrooms, which indirectly leads to an increase in student performance. |
