Abstract

Secondary title: Fake news in slovenian online and print media
Secondary abstract: People have been lying since the beginning of their existence. Today the media is also lying. Fake news is false information that misleads readers, who don't take enough time to check the credibility of the provided information. They simply believe it, share it, and respond to the news with emotion. Sometimes just reading the title of the article is enough to elicit belief. The creators provide popular themes that conform to the readers’ beliefs. Fake news reaches a long way to the past, but only in the past few years has this problem started to gain attention. Abroad, fake news is known to be everywhere, and Slovenia is not far behind.
