Abstract

Secondary title: Satisfaction of students with clinical practice on skeletal diagnostic [!]
Secondary abstract: Introduction: Satisfaction can be defined as one’s positive mental state, which can be influenced by working environment, type of work and working conditions. Educational system is based on the satisfaction of students. Mentor, with whom a student builds interpersonal relationship, has got a very great role considering the satisfaction of students who attend clinical practice. Mentor helps the student, who attends clinical practice to get to know the nature of the profession; the theoretical and practical knowledge is used and deepened; new knowledge is acquired and thus, new skills are developed and the student learns how to take responsibility. Purpose: The purpose is to find out the degree of the second year radiologic technology students’ satisfaction while attending clinical practice on the field of skeletal diagnostics. Methodology: The quantitative research method of questionnaire has been used. 33 second year students who attended the first cycle degree of study programme Radiologic Technology in Ljubljana, who attended the clinical practice on the field of skeletal diagnostics filled in the questionnaire. Resuls: After the data has been analysed it has been revealed that the students’ satisfaction is above average. If the place, where the clinical practice took place is considered, Slovej Gradec stands out, because of the highest rate of students’ satisfaction. If the gender of students is considered, male students show more contentment. Discussion and conclusion: The study programme Radiologic technology is based on the students' satisfaction, which can be supported with the results of this research paper, which reveals that students are generally content with finished clinical practice, its environment and mentors. The results were not expected, since a negative response was expected as well if the study which compared the results is considered.
