diplomsko delo

Clinical practice during the COVID-19 epidemic |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Introduction: Our lives have changed since March 2020, as the disease COVID-19, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, started to spread in our country as well. A number of measures have been taken to contain the disease. Among them was the closure of educational institutions and the cessation of internships. Students began with distance education. Over time, however, they were also able to begin clinical practice, but under different conditions than they were used to. Purpose: To find out how students cope with the practice, more precisely how satisfied they are with the organization, relationships, working hours and workflow, how it affects them emotionally and how performing clinical practice at this time differs from doing clinical practice in previous years. Methods of work: Descriptive method with literature review. The second method was quantitative by conducting an online questionnaire. The questionnaire was completed by 3rd year students of the Radiological Technology study program. Results and discussion: We found that during the epidemic, students in clinical practice spent more time on hygiene, disinfection and the use of hygienic protective equipment (protective masks, gloves) than in previous years. During clinical practice during the epidemic, they felt a fear of infection for themselves and their loved ones so as not to infect them. They were also accompanied by some other negative emotions such as: endangerment, anxiety, concern and less relaxation compared to the practice before the COVID-19 epidemic. |
