Abstract

V diplomskem delu opisujemo zasnovo, razvoj in rezultate platforme za programersko spletno tekmovanje v umetni inteligenci, imenovane Lia.

Secondary title: Lia platform for web-based programming competition in artificial intelligence
Secondary abstract: In our thesis we describe the design, implementation and results of a platform for web-based programming competition in artificial intelligence named Lia. The platform is based on pre-existing type of programming competitions, where the challenges are presented in a video game format. The goal of the participants is to code a program that controls units in a video game. With those programs, the competitors compete between each other in an online leaderboard. We describe a framework for the implementation of online programming competitions as described in related literature and build upon it with our own learnings. We also provide an implementation of our own such system and give suggestions for further improvements of its development. In February and March 2019, 78 university and high school students from 13 Slovenian educational organizations participated in our competition. Based on their opinion we were able to evaluate the user experience of the platform.
