Abstract

Secondary abstract: Srečko (Lucky) is a stress management mobile application. The application is intended for individual managing of everyday-life stressors. Theoretical background for the content of the application are elements of cognitive--behavioural approach, mindfulness, relaxation and breathing techniques. The application offers different stress management approaches and a possibility of cognitive analysis of individual stress response. The thesis was conducted in several phases: literature review and content design, writing of the application and evaluation of the application conducted in two steps: (1) evaluation of the user experience on a small sample of users, and (2) evaluation of the stress management efficiency of the application that was evaluated with the Slovenian version of Perceived Stress Scale (PSS--SLO) administered three times in the two-week period of the pilot testing of the application. During the testing period, the users were encouraged to use the application in accordance with their preferences and needs: the parts of the content they find useful at the time it suits them. Higher cumulative usage time during the two weeks is connected with lower PSS--SLO scores. However, additional research is needed to check for the causal relation between the application use and lower stress scores.
