Abstract

(2002), Živalska abeceda (2002), Živalske uspavanke (2005), Moj očka (2007), Kam gredo sanje (2008), Kraca (2015) in Radi štejemo (2017). Ilustracija dopolnjuje besedilo in obratno. Besedilo dopolnjuje ilustracije in obratno.

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂanalysis of selected belletristic picture books by Lila Prap
Secondary abstract: The purpose of the diploma thesis is to analyse eight selectedbelletristic picture books by Lila Prap, which are suitable for preschool children. These areLittle Creatures (1999), Why? (2002), Animal Alphabet (2002), Animal Lullabies (2005),Daddies (2007), Where Do Dreams Go (2008), Kraca (2015) and We Like to Count (2017). The author of the picture books, Lila Prap, is an important Slovenian creator. She is a poet, a writer and an illustrator. She has received numerous domestic and foreign awards for her work. In the diploma thesis, I used the method of integrated analysis of picture books, analysis of the linguistic and visual code of communication and interaction between them. It is highlighted the content-form relationship between the two message codes of communication. The picture book is a child's first book and brings a great wealth into a child's life. Through the picture book, the child learns, explores, observesand perceives the environment, experiences reality, establishes a relationship with people and objects. Each picture book has three basic components: text, illustration and content-form relationship. The illustration complements the text and vice versa. Children encounter the picture book at a very early preschool period, so it is important that it should be of good quality. Based on the analysed picture books, I find out the following. In the picture books, the author communicates with the visual and linguistic code. In all picture books, it was possible to establish that the text and the illustration are in an equivalent position. The text supplements the illustrations and vice versa. The picture books prevail by animal characters, and the author shows their characteristics from the animal world so in the text and the illustrations. Often, each animal is the main character of one or two sides that represent the whole. The picture books have many common features, such as: the text and the illustration are equivalent, in picture books dominate animal characters, they are author's work, they are intended for children, they belong to literary-informative picture books, the technique of illustration is the same everywhere, we find playfulness in the illustrations and the text ...
