Abstract

Potreba po IT-rešitvah se iz leta v leto povečuje, število ustrezno kvalificiranih inženirjev pa ne zadošča za potrebe trga. V ta namen obstajajo na trgu rešitve LCAP, na podlagi katerih je mogoče znižati stroške razvoja in vzdrževanja. Omogočajo hitrejši razvoj kakovostnih sistemov, ki jih je lažje vzdrževati, ponovno uporabiti in razširiti. Kako učinkovita so pri tem, je odvisno tudi od načina implementacije konceptov RAD v njihovih orodjih. V magistrskem delu smo se osredinili na primerjavo uporabe RAD v rešitvah LCAP in poskušali odgovoriti, kdaj so morebiti generatorji kode zadostni. Za uporabo v primerjavi smo definirali metriko za ovrednotenje RAD-orodij. Na podlagi ugotovitev primerjave smo izdelali izboljšavo za generator JHipster, katere cilj je zmanjšati razliko z LCAP.

Secondary title: Comparison of the use of RAD methodology in the LCAP solutions
Secondary abstract: The need for IT solutions is increasing from year to year, and the number of suitably qualified software engineers does not meet the needs of the market. To solve this, there are LCAP solutions on the market that can be used to reduce development and maintenance costs. They enable faster development of quality systems that are easier to maintain, reuse, and expand. How effective they are also depends on how the RAD concepts are implemented in their tools. In this master’s thesis, we focused on comparing the use of RAD in LCAP solutions and tried to answer when code generators may be sufficient. For comparison, we developed a metric for evaluating RAD tools. Based on the findings of the comparison, we improved the JHipster generator, intending to reduce the difference with LCAP.
