Abstract

Glavna tema magistrskega dela je v sklopu slovenske moderne arhitekture prve polovice 20. stoletja spregledani arhitekt Josip Costaperaria. Kljub šolanju pri Ottu Wagnerju in delu v ateljeju Maksa Fabianija ga v raziskavah moderne arhitekture ne najdemo pogosto. V magistrskem delu predstavimo biografijo arhitekta in njegov opus. Costaperaria je najbolj znan po svojem delu v Ljubljani, veljal je za arhitekta ljubljanske meščanske elite, za katero je načrtoval številne vile na Vrtači. Z njimi je pomembno doprinesel k funkcionalistični arhitekturi na Slovenskem. Njegov opus drugod je manj znan, pomanjkljivo je raziskana tudi stavba Mariborskega dvora (1925-1926). Magistrsko delo ponuja vpogled v stavbno zgodovino objekta, v arhitekturne značilnosti in urbanistično umestitev stavbe. Prav tako skušamo predstaviti morebitne zglede in primerjave stavbe Mariborskega dvora. Josip Costaperaria velja za enega pomembnejših modernih arhitektov pri nas, zaradi česar ga želimo z magistrskim delom umestiti v moderno arhitekturo 20. stoletja na Slovenskem.

Secondary abstract:	Our master's thesis primarily focuses on the architect Josip Costaperaria. Even though he was studying at Otto Wagner's school and working in Maks Fabiani's studio, he is repeatedly overlooked in modern Slovene architecture. Our thesis explores the biography and oeuvre of the architect. Costaperaria is best known for his work in Ljubljana. He was the architect of Ljubljana's bourgeois elites, for which he planned various villas in one of Ljubljana's districts, Vrtača. As a result, he represents an essential contribution to Slovenian functionalistic architecture. Costaperaria is less known for his work elsewhere. One of the poorly researched buildings is Mariborski dvor (1925-1926). In our thesis, we have focused on the historical and architectural description of this building. In addition, our thesis examines possible examples of comparisons of Mariborski dvor. Josip Costaperaria is considered one of the most important modern architects in our country, which is the reason we have tried to place him in the modern architecture of the 20th century in Slovenia.
