Abstract

V teoretičnem delu smo opredelili terensko delo in ovrednotili njegov pomen pri pouku geografije. Preučili smo metode in vsebine terenskega dela v okviru geografske kurikularne dokumentacije in izbranih učnih gradiv za pouk geografije v osnovni in srednji šoli. Izpostavili smo temeljne metodološke pristope terenskega dela in opravili metaanalizo priporočil za izvedbo terenskega dela. V empiričnem delu smo izvedli samostojno raziskavo in predstavili rezultate. V terensko delo vključujejo širok spekter IKT, vendar to počno redko.

Secondary title: Situation and prospects of field work in geography classes
Secondary abstract: The primary purpose of the master thesis is the analysis of occurrences of methods and contents of field work in geography classes in Slovenia. In the theoretical part we defined the field work and evaluated its importance in geography classes. We examined the methods and contents of field work in accordance to geographical curricular documentation and the selected teaching materials for geography classes in primary and secondary schools. We highlighted the basic methodological approaches of field work and carried out the meta-analysis of recommendations for the implementation of field work. In the empirical part we made an independent research and presented the results. We performed the research among Slovenian geography teachers, who teach in primary or secondary schools. The research showed, that among the studied materials as well as in practical geography classes, field work related to natural geographical contents predominates. Observation, drawing and orientation predominate among the methods of field work. Geography teachers most often decide to perform the field work in the form of a tool (students gather information on the field, followed by joint analysis and the completion of the final product) and carry it out in one school hour. They rarely include ICT in the field work, but when they do, they include a wide range of it. The participating teachers report about the support and organisation of field work by the school management, staff and parents. Less frequently they use cooperation in the planning and implementation phases of field work with geographical and external institutions. In the applied part, we prepared three proposals for teaching preparations for the implementation of field work in primary and secondary schools, which we justified with findings in the theoretical and empirical part.
