Abstract

Uvod: Bipolarna motnja je duševna motnja, katere simptomi se izražajo na razpoloženju, vedenju in kognitivnih sposobnostih. Izmenjujeta se dve razpoloženjski stanji oziroma epizodi, in sicer manija in depresija. Čeprav bolezen ni ozdravljiva, lahko bolniki z bipolarno motnjo razpoloženja blažijo simptome z uporabo farmakoterapije in psihoterapije. Osebam z duševnimi motnjami iskanje in ohranjanje zaposlitve povzroča številne težave. Ker pa ima veliko ljudi premalo znanja o duševnih motnjah in premalo stika s takšnimi osebami, se velikokrat odzovejo neprimerno in ne vedo kako reagirati. Tudi ljudje, ki imajo bipolarno motnjo razpoloženja, so lahko na delovnem mestu kreativni, če jim je ponujeno primerno delovno mesto. Raziskovalne metode: V zaključnem delu je bila uporabljena deskriptivna metoda dela. Strokovno in znanstveno literaturo smo iskali v bazah podatkov: PubMed, ScienceDirect, PsycARTICLES in Google Scholar, kjer smo uporabili vključitvene in izključitvene kriterije, kateri so bili oblikovani glede na osnovi raziskovalnega vprašanja. V PRISMA diagramu smo predstavili potek iskanja ustrezne literature. Rezultati: Analizirali in pregledali smo 5 člankov, objavljenih v angleškem jeziku. Na podlagi teh člankov je bilo mogoče ugotoviti s kakšnimi ovirami se osebe z bipolarno motnjo srečujejo v delovnem okolju. Razprava in sklep: Narava bipolarne motnje lahko otežuje vzdrževanje enakomernega urnika. Mnogi ljudje z bipolarno motnjo doživljajo izzive pri iskanju dela, kljub temu pa veliko ljudi uspešno najde delo, ki jim ustreza. Strokovnjaki menijo, da je delo za ljudi z bipolarno motnjo lahko zelo koristno.

Secondary abstract: Introduction: Bipolar disorder is a mental disorder whose symptoms are expressed od mood, behavior and cognitive abilities. There are two moods or episodes which are alternating mania and depression. Altrought the disease is not curable, the patients with bipolar disorder can alleviate symptoms using pharmacoteraphy and psychotherapy. To find and keep o job causes many problems to people with mental disorders. However, because many people have too little knowledge about mental disorders and also too little contact with such persons, they often reactinappropriately or they don´t know how to react about them. Even people who have bipolar mood disorder can be creative at work if they offered a suitable job. Research methods: In the Thesis, a descriptive method of work was used. We searched for professional and scientific literature in databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, PsycARTICLES and Google Scholar, where we used inclusion and exclusion citeria, which were formulated based on the research question. In the PRISMA diagram, we presented the process of searching for relevant literature. Results: We reviewed and analyzed 5 articles published in English. Based on these articles, it was possible to determine what barriers people with bipolar disorder have to face in the work environment. Discussion and conclusion: The nature of bipolar disorder can make it difficult to maintain a steady schedule. Many people with bipolar disorder experience challenges when searching for a job. However, yet many people successfully find a job that suits them. Experts believe that working can be very useful and rewarding for people with bipolar disorder.
