Abstract
Diplomsko delo z naslovom Piagetovi poskusi na predoperativni stopnji v povezavi z naravoslovjem v vrtcu je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega, praktičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili teorijo kognitivnega razvoja po Piagetu, njegovo metodo opazovanja, t. i. klinični intervju, glavne dejavnike razvoja mišljenja, Piagetove štiri stopnje kognitivnega razvoja ter natančneje predstavili tri miselne značilnosti (konzervacijo, seriacijo in klasifikacijo), ki predstavljajo glavno temo diplomskega dela. Navedli smo tudi nekaj kritik Piagetove teorije, ki smo jih podkrepili z ugotovitvami sodobnih raziskav na tem področju. V teoretičnem delu smo nekaj besed namenili zgodnjemu naravoslovju, saj je razumevanje naravoslovnih postopkov odvisno od miselnih sposobnosti otroka. V praktičnem delu smo izvedli raziskavo z namenom, da praktično preverimo Piagetove poskuse na sodobnih otrocih in preverimo, ali so kakšne razlike z njegovimi spoznanji. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 45 otrok, starih od štiri do sedem let. Z vsakim otrokom smo individualno izvedli Piagetove poskuse konzervacije (števila, dolžine, tekočine, površine, diskontinuirane količine in teže), seriacije, klasifikacije in multiple klasifikacije. Na osnovi rezultatov naše raziskave, ki smo jih predstavili v empiričnem delu, smo ugotovili, da so sodobni otroci sposobni reševati Piagetove naloge konzervacije, seriacije, klasifikacije in multiple klasifikacije prej, kakor je to predvideval Piaget.

This paper, titled Piagetian experiments at preoperational stage related to natural sciences in kindergarten, comprises a theoretical, a practical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part, we presented Piaget's theory of cognitive development, his observation method - clinical interview, main factors that affect the development of thinking skills and Piaget's four stages of cognitive development. We also detailed three cognitive elements (conservation, seriation and classification), which are the main topic of our paper. We presented some critics of Piaget's theory and supported their arguments with findings of modern research in this field. In the theoretical part, we briefly addressed early natural sciences, as understanding natural processes depends on a child's cognitive abilities. In the practical part, we conducted a research to practically assess Piagetian experiments on modern children and examine whether they differ from his findings. The research included 45 children aged from 4 to 7. We performed Piagetian experiments related to conservation (numbers, length, liquids, surface, discontinued quantity and weight), seriation, classification and multiple classification on every child individually. The results of our research, presented in the empirical part, led us to determine that modern children are able to solve Piaget's tasks related to conservation, seriation, classification and multiple classification earlier than assumed by Piaget. |
