Abstract

Konflikti so sestavni del življenja vsake organizacije. So neizogibni in koristni v učinkovitih organizacijah, če so seveda pod nadzorom.

Secondary title: Resolution of interpersonal conflicts in the company x
Secondary abstract: Conflicts are part of every organisation’s life. In effective organisations, they are inevitable and useful if kept under control. People’s interests and needs may vary in their private life, and the same applies to their business life. Conflicts between various interests are inevitable in a company; therefore, their number and intensity are sometimes rather significant. A successful resolution of interpersonal conflicts is a skill without which it is hard for a leader to succeed at work. The diploma thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical. The first part presents the theoretical basis and aspects of different authors on the importance of communication in conflict resolution, and briefly defines interpersonal conflict. In the empirical part, we used a questionnaire to check how common the conflicts are in the company, how they are resolved, who the person responsible for their resolution is, whether or not the interpersonal and intergenerational influences affect the work process of employees, how important it is for them to collaborate and to search for different reasons for conflicts, so that we could help the company X with an understanding of conflicts and the meaning of their proper resolution. Next, we briefly introduced the company X and answered our research questions through the questionnaire. With the questionnaire analysis, we found out that the reasons for conflicts in the company are poor communication, lack of information and work overload. The company resolves them through compromising and arrangements. Communication is essential since it contributes to understanding a work process and encourages resolving conflict situations that are a necessary part of coexistence in every company. Based on the answers, we then suggested possible and, in our opinion, at least somewhat helpful ways to reach a solution.
