Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo raziskali varnostne mehanizme gravitacijskih infuzijskih sistemov.

Secondary title: Analysis of safety mechanism of gravity infusion systems
Secondary abstract: In the diploma paper we have researched the security mechanism of the gravity infusion systems. We have found out that there are flow regulators, mechanisms that prevent air in the system and filters. Some security mechanisms have been tested and simulated in the laboratory. The results show that particular infusion systems prevent irruption of the air. In the systems with a flow regulator we have found minor deviations from fluids declaration. Venous feeder 14 gauge with declaration flow rates 270 ml in a minute flew only 131±3 ml in a minute. With infusion of the plastic bottle under the pressure of 300 mmHg we have approached 289±3 ml in a minute through the feeder. In emergencies it is recommended to use pressure infusions.
